Perched on the northernmost tip of picturesque Salt Spring Island, Fraser's Thimble Farm is a three-acre destination nursery specializing in native plants. We have an extensive selection of perennials, trees, shrubs, and groundcovers that sit alongside our specialties year-round. Visit us in person and spend an afternoon wandering through our woodland farm and exploring over 400 varieties of native plants.

But more than that, they belong. Native plants feed the birds and pollinators we rely on, rebuild the food chain from the ground up, and help protect our ecosystems from collapse. Their roots run deep - literally and figuratively - holding soil in place, filtering water, and enriching the land.

Employee Of The Month
When you visit the farm, you'll see Lucy hanging around or dozing in the sun by the shop. She's a friendly dog, but we ask that you not pet her. We know that's disappointing to many, but as she gets older, her comfort and safety are our top priority, and that, unfortunately, means no pats (even gentle ones).

We’re passionate about preserving biodiversity right here at home. That’s why we propagate and grow a wide variety of native plants - sourced ethically and nurtured with care. From hardy perennials to pollinator-friendly wildflowers, our native selection is perfect for gardeners looking to support local ecosystems and create resilient, low-maintenance landscapes.
